Our final race of the season is open to all skiers and is designed to be a fun, community event!
Whether you're an experienced racer or just looking to have a good time, we invite you to join us for a day filled with food, music, and exciting races.
Sport your costumes or stylish retro gear, and give it all you've got! This event is for everyone—MARA athletes, friends, family, and all skiers. Come out and make it a memorable end to the season!
MARA Racers
Daily Race Registration Is Complimentary For 12W Youth Alpine Skiers Corresponding With Their Training Day (Either Saturday or Sunday)
All other race participants are required to register & pay for each race day.
Not Interested In Racing?
While our program represents racing, we understand racing is not for every skier. MARA athletes who choose not to race will still ski their regularly scheduled training day. Be advised, coaches and peers may differ as majority will be attending to the races.
Parent Volunteers
All 12W Youth Alpine MARA Parents are automatically signed up to volunteer on the race day corresponding to their athlete’s scheduled training, either Saturday or Sunday. You are still required to sign up to secure your role.
Parents must sign up for 2nd required volunteer day to fulfill volunteer requirements.

Eligibility: Open to skiers ages 7 and up!

Entry Deadline: Wednesday, March 6th at midnight. Entries must be completed online by the entry deadline. No late registrations will be accepted.
Entry Fees: Free registration for 12 Week Youth Alpine participants on their corresponding registered training day (Saturday or Sunday) program $25.00 per event. Sign up and pay online.
Late Entries: There will be no late entries accepted. No exceptions.

March 8 & 9 Hosted at Mt. Ashland
March 8th Slalom & March 9th Giant Slalom (two runs back to back)
Men and women, boys and girls (non scored event)
Seeding by age classification, youngest to oldest by class
8:00-9:00am Registration and bib handout outside the locker lodge
8:45 Athletes gather outside locker lodge
9:00 Athletes ski off and all parent volunteers meet
9:15-9:45 Course inspection
10:00am approximate first run start
Racers lunch break will begin immediately following their first run. Athletes are expected to check in with their MARA coach to confirm what time they should return from lunch.
12:00 Athletes meet back with coaches for second course inspection
1:00pm approximate start of second run
Awards will be held at the race hut (located at the race course finish) at approximately 3:00pm or as otherwise announced at the end of the race

Sign Up For Your Second Volunteer Day
If positions are still available, visiting parents are invited to help with the race! If you are in need of a volunteer ski pass, please let us know ASAP. Mt. Ashland has limited ski passes available for MARA parent volunteers in need of a lift ticket. Please complete volunteer form so we can get your ticket reserved. If you anticipate being able to help, please email us or see MARA staff on race day.
Awards
Awards will be held at the race hut at 3:00pm or as otherwise announced at the end of the second run. All participants will receive a MARA sticker. The top 3 of each U8 through Masters classes will receive a medal.
Bibs
Bib Pickup: Begins at 8:15am each morning outside the blue locker lodge.
Bibs must be returned at the end of each race day, upon leaving the finish arena immediately following their second run.

In need of a lift ticket? All lift tickets are available for purchase from Mt. Ashland.
Visiting racers get discounted lift tickets onsite!
Lift Tickets are available for purchase in the main lodge (next to the merchandise counter), or at the blue locker lodge kiosk.
